Appointments & Fees
Appointments are available by calling:
Please leave your name and telephone number on the voicemail, and your call will be returned as soon as possible.
Sessions are 50 minutes long unless arrangements are made for more time. I maintain two offices, so please make sure you know which office to go to.
There is a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you can’t attend a scheduled appointment, I ask that you give me 24 hours’ notice so you won’t be charged for the scheduled session.
My office operates on a fee for service basis: I charge $175 per session. You will be asked to pay at the time of service with check or cash.
I keep a certain number of slots for military dependents and vets who can use TriCare or TriWest insurance. I also work with some other insurance plans. You can check with my office manager to see if I can accept your insurance. If not, I can provide you with a billing form so you can submit your own insurance claim. In that case, I will be an “out of network” provider.
Many people who see me go outside the insurance systems and pay privately for a level of service they can’t get anywhere else. Private payment guarantees the most complete confidentiality, since no treatment records are ever transmitted to an insurance company or stored electronically.
Reduced Fee Service for Young People: I try to provide affordable therapy for young people who do not otherwise have the financial means to pursue therapy. Prospective candidates meet with me to be evaluated for eligibility for the reduced fee program.
If you live in the San Diego area and would like to schedule an appointment, please get in touch with me. I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a specialty in mind-body health.
